  • Spring Walk

    Fri 15 Mar 2024

We had a great morning on our Spring Walk! We saw all types of weather from beautiful sunshine to absolute downpours as we learned more about the challenges that face farmers because of our very wet winter and how we see this in the landscape that surrounds us. Thank you so much to the Casely family for leading the walk and to all of our amazing adult helpers!

  • Wonderstruck Science

    Tue 05 Mar 2024

We've had an AMAZING day with Peter from Wonderstruck as the whole school took part in different science activities. We started the day with a science show all about rockets and forces, which saw lots of bangs and explosions!

The children then split into mixed-year groups to make air-powered cars where they had to think carefully about how to ensure that the vehicle was as aerodynamic as possible. After lunch, KS2 then worked on creating hovercrafts. They had to ensure that the air did not escape and work out some very complex circuitry to run both their propulsion and lift fans.

Across the day, we were really impressed with the children's teamwork, resilience and how they could apply their scientific knowledge.

  • Hockey tournament

    Fri 01 Mar 2024

This afternoon, Miss Partridge took some of our Year 4 children to Sherborne Girls' for their annual hockey tournament. The children had to brave the cold and wet conditions (even playing through hail!) as they took on 9 other teams from the local area. We were delighted to see how the children grew from hardly playing hockey before to winning some of their games!
