  • Sports Day and Platinum Jubilee Celebrations

    Fri 27 May 2022

We've had an incredible day today with our school community as we held our sports morning then celebrated the Queen's Platinum Jubilee during the afternoon. Once we'd finished our sports morning, we were treated to a country dancing display, a street party, a presentation and closed the day singing the National Anthem together. Thank you to the children, parents and staff for making the day so special and to FoTS for the refreshments and the party food!

  • Inter-Area Cross Country

    Thu 26 May 2022

A huge well done to Lydia and Lucas who represented Somerset at the Inter-Area Cross Country competition yesterday at Mudford Rec. Both children represented our school superbly and Lydia finished 3rd in the Yr 3/4 race. A great effort from them both!!

  • Girls' Football Success

    Tue 17 May 2022

A huge well done to our girls' football team who came second in the cluster tournament this evening. They all played with a massive smile on their faces and, once we started scoring goals, we just couldn't stop!

  • Yoga

    Fri 13 May 2022

We were very pleased to welcome Michael from 'Yoga at School' to Trent last week. He worked with every member of staff to train them to teach yoga, and also ran yoga sessions for every class. We now have another way to look after ourselves so that our lights can shine!

  • Sporting success in Tetrathlon

    Fri 13 May 2022

In the Easter holidays, Lydia took part in a Tetrathlon at Sandroyd school, and did amazingly well: she had personal bests in running (500 metres in 1 minute 54 seconds) and swimming (78 metres in 2 minutes) and won both of these events. She also had a clear round on the cross country course on her pony and if this wasn't enough, she scored 690points in the target throwing section. Overall she finished 2nd individually in the girls section and her team finished 4th. She was super proud of herself, as are her family and all of us here at school. Lydia can’t wait for the next competition, and we all wish her lots of luck!
