What an incredible sporting week we've had!
Starting on Wednesday, our Year 5/6 football team drew their first friendly game of the season in a thrilling game against Thornford - no picture of this one as it was almost dark by the time we finished!
On Thursday, many of our Year 5/6 girls attended a girls' football festival at The Gryphon School which aimed to increase the number of girls taking up the sport. The evening was split with the girls first completing a rotation of activities followed by a mixed up round of games where the girls had a chance to play with children from other schools.
On Friday, our Year 1/2 children had their first event of the year with a football festival at Sherborne Prep School. The children had a wonderful time, scored loads of goals and finished in 1st and 2nd place overall!
Finally, on Friday afternoon, our Year 5/6 tag rugby team participated in the Sherborne area cluster tournament. After a slow start in their first game, they went on an unbeaten run all the way to the final where they took home the trophy after scoring a try in overtime to win by one point!
Well done to all of the children who took part in all of these events and to all of the supportive parents who attended too!
Thank you to our hosts during the week - Sherborne Prep School and The Gryphon School.
