Wow, what a busy day at Adventure Okehampton! After a full English breakfast for all, we picked up our bikes and headed along the Granite Way to Meldon, taking in some of the wonderful sights along the way. Before lunch, we then headed out for a moorland walk around Meldon reservoir to learn more about the history and geography of the local area.
Everyone then manoeuvred themselves into their wetsuits before heading into the gorge! After a few nervous steps initially and lots of children trying to stay dry (really!!), it wasn't long before children were heading up and down waterfalls, jumping into pools or creating lots of splash!
Pizza, wedges and sticky toffee pudding was waiting for us back at the house before we finished the day with a campfire, s'mores and a bit of free time to burn of the very last of any energy reserves.
The house definitely fell quiet much earlier last night and, as of 06.50 this morning, the house is still silent! It won't be long before we're packing up rooms, heading down to breakfast and then finishing our stay with some grass sledging and axe throwing.
