KS2 trip to Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra
The children of Badger, Fox and Owl classes enjoyed their visit to The Lighthouse in Poole, to listen to the Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra perform. They were brilliant audience members, and acted as excellent ambassadors for our school. As well as listening to the orchestra performing a diverse range of music, all of which related to the theme of the sea (from Tchaikovsky to Duke Ellington, and the theme from Pirates of the Caribbean to Debussy to name just a few pieces), we had the opportunity to perform with the orchestra, singing, signing and doing some body percussion. We weren't able to take photos during the performance, but hopefully the ones we've taken before the performance will give you a sense of the occasion. Afterwards, we walked to Poole park for a picnic lunch and to play in the park and again, the children were amazing. All in all, a great day for children and staff!
