Medicine in School
If your child injures themselves or falls ill in school, our team of trained first aiders will provide immediate care. Depending on the severity of your child's needs, we will inform you at the end of the school day or immediately.
If your child requires medicine in school, we do our best to help with medicines but we are not always able to to carry out requests from parents. If your child needs to take medicine that has been prescribed, we can administer it, so long as we have your written permission. We will only administer medicine that is prescribed by a doctor for your child or that is recognisable as suitable for children.
For any medicines, please complete the relevant forms below.
If your child requires asthma medication, we will keep it in school and enable your child to take it as required, within safe limits. Forms must be completed (see below).
If your child requires an Epi pen then we will need one that we can keep in school and also an update Epi pen health plan.
