Y6 Dodgeball Success
On Thursday, some of our year 6s took part in the Sherborne Area dodgeball tournament. We were a bit unsure about what to expect as we’ve not taken part in a dodgeball fixture before.
We started with a loss against Thornford as we were still working about how to handle the new dodgeballs and the best tactics to use. However, our fortunes improved from there onwards with wins against Sherborne Abbey, Sherborne Primary, Yetminster and Buckland Newton. This allowed us to progress to the final game against Thornford, who had up until that point, been unbeaten.
In a tough final, the game swung back and forwards as we struggled with some of the rules being enforced slightly more strictly. As the minutes ticked by, the game was often played with 3v3 or 2v2. However, we maintained our composure well to close out the game and finished as the overall winners!
